About Amy

Amy Ellingson served as an attorney/hearing examiner for the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.  In that capacity, she presided over thousands of driver license revocation hearings based on DUI arrests.  Amy has also received police officer training for administering breath tests and field sobriety tests.  She has received state certification as an Intoxilyzer 8000 operator and is state certified to administer standardized field sobriety tests.   She is a member of the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and has previous membership in the Criminal Law and Government and Administrative Law Sections of the Oklahoma Bar Association.  Since leaving DPS, she has limited her law practice to DUI Defense.

Amy Ellingson frequently teaches DUI law to other attorneys.  In 2008, all of her lectures were approved for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit by the Oklahoma Bar Association.  Oklahoma attorneys are required to meet certain CLE requirements.  The law is constantly changing and Continuing Legal Education is one way lawyers can stay up to date with the law.
